Change in our services:

Starting January 1, 2015

Dear friends and patients:

We all know how life can bring about many changes. The year 2015 will bring into my life the greatest change for me in some time: I will no longer be delivering babies by the end of 2015.

For those of you whose babies I have delivered over the past 15 years, I know that you will understand that this is a shift in my caring for women that I will miss but also will allow me to focus on the gynecological needs of all my patients. Your allowing me to deliver your sons and daughters will always be one of the greatest gifts of my life.

Now I am entering a new phase in my caring for women. I look forward to taking care of each of you for all of your gynecological needs. I will do your annual care, hormonal changes and all in-office or hospital surgeries. I have begun doing robotic surgeries that will allow for less invasive procedures and quicker recoveries.

Allow me to thank you again for being a part of your childbearing years. I have some great obstetricians I can suggest for you to see for those of you still having more children. In the meantime, I will continue to be your physician before your next addition to your family and, hopefully afterwards as well.

For those of you done with your childbearing years, I look forward to many more years of caring for you!

Warmly,

Marianne Zakarian, MD FACOG

Appointments:

Due to the nature of obstetrics, waiting times are sometimes longer than expected. We have designed our waiting room to minimize this inconvenience and make your wait as comfortable as possible. Please let the office staff know if there is anything we can do to help.

Appointments are available Monday thru Friday.

We make every effort to stay on schedule. If we are seriously delayed, we attempt to notify patients beforehand. As a courtesy to our other patients and staff, please call the office as soon as possible if you are unable to keep an appointment or are going to be late.

Prescriptions:

Medication refills should be requested through your pharmacy. They will then fax us a request. We require 48 hours notice for routine refill requests. Please be aware that we may require an appointment for a pain or antibiotic medications. We require at least yearly visits for stable medication problems, but more frequent visits may required as determined by your provider.

Please call for prescription refills during regular office hours. No refills will be given after hours, weekends or holidays

Payments:

Make payments on line: https://zakarian.nolatepayments.com/

Billing Information:

In response to patient complaints regarding our end of the year refunds, we will now issue refund checks throughout the year.

As a courtesy to our patients, we bill both primary and secondary insurances. Please make sure that we have the most updated information for you.

Your monthly statement now reflects claims that may still be pending insurance payment. This allows you to see if the claim has been billed (and follow-up with insurance as needed) where it was billed to, and how much the insurance paid. There may also be a balance that is patient responsibility, this amount needs to be paid monthly or a payment plan set up.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to call the office.

We now accept CareCredit. Please call the office for more information or go to CareCredit.com to fill out an application.
