Dear Patient:


With a lot of joy and some degree of sadness, I am writing to notify my patients of my plans to retire at the end of August, 2019. Lindsay Erstad, PA, well known and loved by so many of our patients, will continue taking care of all you who continue to trust their well women-care to the practice. However, the practice will have some new exciting changes.


Michael Kaylor, MD will be combining his Family Practice care with Lindsay Erstad's women's care. While Dr. Kaylor also sees women for their healthcare needs, this will allow many of the women to not only be cared for by Lindsay Erstad, but also have their own family practice needs and that of their children and spouse's needs to be met be within the same practice.


Lindsay Erstad will continue seeing our patients for their annual exams, paps, birth control management, abnormal pap management, labs, hormone management, weight loss management, infertility, abnormal bleeding concerns, and minor surgical needs that can be addressed within the clinic as she has done for the past many years. She will have the full scope of managing abnormal bleeding with hormonal and nonhormonal regimens as well as performing the Novasure endometrial ablations that so many of you have done so well with and for which so many of you have referred your friends and families for.


We understand that some of you may decide to seek care with another physician outside of the new practice. Please understand that our staff will do everything possible to make such a transition smooth and stress free. Please note, by law we cannot share your medical care without your written consent.


Mostly, I hope that the majority of you will enjoy a great rapport with the team that Dr. Kaylor, Lindsay Erstad and their staff will provide to take care of not only you but also of your families for years to come. Again, this is a unique opportunity to have all of your women care needs and your family care needs for the whole family.


Finally, I have so much enjoyed my relationships with all of you. So many of you have become more like good friends and family over the years. Thank you for all of your loyalty and support!

Dr. Marianne Zakarian

 

Dr.Zakarian has provided outstanding obstetrical and gynecological care to patients for over 20 years. As a gynecologic surgeon servicing Boise, Meridian and the surrounding metro areas, she uses the most advanced technology for her patients and is particularly skilled with robotic surgery and believes in staying abreast of the latest cutting edge technology so as to achieve the most superior outcomes for her patients.


Dr. Zakarian has been practicing in Boise since 2001. She graduated Medical School in 1993 from the University of Colorado School of Medicine and completed her residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences, El Paso, Texas in 1997. She spent four years in the US Army Heidelberg, Germany and retired from active service as a Major.

 

As a specialist in womens healthcare, Dr. Zakarian is able to treat high/low risk obstetrics, limited infertility, and all types of gynecological problems. For women who suffer from abnormally heavy periods, Dr. Zakarian offers in-office endometrial ablation, a one-time, safe, simple procedure with a quick recovery time.

 

Dr. Zakarian is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of ACOG. She currently has privileges at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center and Treasure Valley Hospital.

 

Dr. Zakarian is active in teaching medical students and physican assistants. She has been a member of the adjunct teaching faculty for Touro University, Nevada, Oregon Health and Sciences University (OHSU), Midwestern University and Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences.  She is a member of the Age Management Medicine Group (AAMG), and Independent Doctors of Idaho (IDID).

 

She enjoys travel, golf, tennis, hiking and reading.
